Things I miss very much, part 1

- Jack, Robbie, June, Stever, Sassy, my mom and my dad
- and all you other people that would take too long to list
- apples
- red peppers
- a proper qwerty keyboard
- dill pickle chips
- spicy red pepper hummus
- food with cheese
- hot showers (I would choose food with cheese over a hot shower)
- summer time in Canada
- no bugs in my bedroom
- washing machines
- cereal (or, more to the point, skim milk.)

  1. HI Lisa,

We miss you too. You will have all those things for the rest of your life. I guarantee you that one day you will write about all the things you miss about kikima and the wonderful people you have met, the cows, roosters and likely even the spiders.

Dare I say (touch wood) that you have been healthier in Kenya than at home. Maybe it is all the fresh air?

    Love,
    mom
ps. Anita sent some great pictures. Can you get some of your girls to pose for pictures? Maybe take a pic of a cow and rooster too? How about snap a shot at one of those spiders before he meets with the broom handle (and after?) I googled about praying mantis in Africa and no kidding one of the first sites was about keeping one as a pet.

  2. I miss youuu Lisey, even though I didn't make your list. (And red pepper hummus did...seriously?! Maybe I will go try that stuff, and it better be good).

3 more days till I can walk! I am now getting a bit worried though that just because I'm allowed to walk doesn't mean I will be *able* too. Are your crutches still at home, in case I need them when I go home this weekend?

Way to leave out some of your siblings. If you add me to your list maybe i'll send you some mail.
Also, LIn - TJ's spicy hummus is the best. try out that one.

  4. Lin,

Indeed, we have crutches here. I know because I trip over them everytime I go to the freezer down stairs.

    mom

  6. HI LIsa,

I am laying on the floor with a peanut butter sandwich. I don't like school because it is boring.

  8. Your Mum is right - you have the rest of your life to have those things. Think about all the things that you will miss about Kenya when you return home.

PS - you have a fantastic family!
